At the opening ceremony of Nanjing Tech Week on June 26, service agencies from 22 countries and regions joined hands to form the T20 Alliance of Innovation Service Organizations. Jointly initiated by Jiangsu Proprietary Technology Exchange Center and the Organizing Committee of Nanjing Tech Week, the alliance will support the innovative efforts of cities, strengthen connections among excellent international service agencies, and jointly create an innovation ecosystem.

At the Purple Mountain Innovation Conference of Nanjing Tech Week, representatives came onto the stage and kicked off the Opening Ceremony of Nanjing Tech Week & Inauguration Ceremony of T20 Alliance of Innovation Service Organizations. They included representatives from 24 innovation service agencies such as Jiangsu Proprietary Technology Exchange Center, BNP Paribas, China-Germany Scientific and Technological Innovation Center, NHS England, Swedish Foreign Center for Scientific and Technological Cooperation and Russian Alliance for Scientific City Development, as well as a dozen provincial and municipal Party leaders and scholars, such as Richard Roberts, Nobel laureate and chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board, Ding Zhaozhong, Nobel laureate in physics, Yao Qizhi, winner of the Turing Award and academician at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wang Zeshan, winner of China’s Top Scientific and Technological Award and academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Qian Qihu, winner of China’s Top Scientific and Technological Award and academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Presently, the alliance has 42 members from 22 countries and regions and covers four major sectors, i.e. technology transfer, intellectual property, start-up incubation and financial services. The alliance will uphold the concept of “connection is more important than ownership”, bring together scientific and technological service agencies from 20+ countries, give full play to their respective advantages, create a new mode of cooperation with the principle of “win-win, sharing and interaction”, and comprehensively promote the construction of a scientific and technological innovation ecosystem.
