At the invitation of the friendship city of Eindhoven, the Netherlands, Nanjing has officially joined the EIT Urban Mobility. Nanjing is the only Chinese city invited to join the organization.

As early as the end of last year, Eindhoven, with which Nanjing has established the “Friendship City” relationship, had sought Nanjing’s support for its proposal of Mobility for Liveable Urban Spaces and invited Nanjing to join the EIT Urban Mobility. Members of the organization are from 15 countries, including 13 cities, 17 industrial partners and 18 universities and research institutions. Nanjing has been the only Chinese city invited to join the organization.

In early April this year, the two sides officially reached an agreement. Based on the urban mobility project, both sides will create value to urban mobility solutions for Europe and all over the world and promote the project itself so as to achieve a win-win result.
